Project Description:

Due to scanty rainfall in the catchment area in the past years and, also due to development activities in the upstream catchment these tanks are not receiving the desired quantum of water for filling these tanks. The villagers are mainly dependent on these tanks for drinking water and other purposes.

In view of above requirements, it is proposed to take up the scheme for filling up of 18 tanks by lifting water from Krishna River near Ganjhalli village in Raichur Taluka of Raichur District.

Government of Karnataka has considered the demand and initiated studies for mitigating the problem faced by the people. A preliminary study is undertaken by KBJNL for addressing the same and found that Krishna River near Ganjhalli in Raichur Taluka of Raichur District is the nearest sustainable surface source of water for filling these tanks.

The scope of work is to provide “Consultancy services for Detailed Survey, Investigation, Preparation of Drawings, Designs, Detailed Engineering, Reports and BOQ for Civil and Electro-Mechanical works for filling up of existing 18 No’s of tanks in Raichur taluka of Raichur district by lifting water from Krishna River” along with site supervision and liaison assistance.
