Project Description:
Chanrayapatna is a taluk of Hassan District in the state of Karnataka. This taluk is a draught prone area which consists of 42 villages which face acute shortage of water for consumption. Although the government has dug around 291 borewells, only as much as up to 50% of them are yielding water for consumption. Many are not yielding any water due to depleted ground water levels are gets contaminated before reaching the consumer.
In order to create a better environment and ecological balance, initially the government has taken a decision.to provide water to these draught prone villages by supplying water to 25 tanks and then add 09 more tanks.which are accessible to all these areas. The proposed scheme infers to lift the water from Chanrayapatna-
Amanikere near Chanrayapatna town during monsoon period to provide a stability to the operation. This will not only be beneficial to the villagers but will also be helpful in the replenishing the ground water and reduction of nitrate contents and to supplement drinking water supply to 42 villages.
Cauvery Neeravari Nigam Limited has awarded the work to M/s OCEAN CONSTRUCTIONS PVT LTD for carrying out Survey, Investigation, Planning and Design with drawings for all components of the scheme.
M/s. OCEAN CONSTRUCTIONS PVT LTD. has requested M/s. Design Group Project Consultants (P) Ltd., to submit a Techno Commercial offer for “Consultancy services for Detailed Survey, Investigation Preparation of Drawings, Designs, Detailed Engineering, Reports and civil works of filling of Additional 9 Tanks under Channarayapatna – Amanikere Tank Filling Scheme.”.
