Project Description:

Major parts of Devadurga Taluk of Raichur District are often subjected to severe drought. The rainfall in the area is meager and unevenly distributed. The nearest dependable source of water is Krishna River. There are several MI/ZP tanks constructed in the area. Due to scanty rainfall in the catchment area in the past years and due to development activities in the upstream catchment these tanks are not receiving the desired quantum of water for filling these tanks. The villagers are mainly dependent on these tanks for drinking water and other purposes. There is a constant representation from elected representatives and formers of the area to fill these tanks from nearest dependable source i.e., Krishna River.

The scope of work is to provide “Survey, Investigation, Design, Supply, Erection, Testing and Commissioning of Lift Irrigation System for Detailed Survey, Investigation Preparation of Drawings, Designs, Detailed Engineering, Reports and civil works of filling up of 14 MI/ZP Tanks by Lifting Water from Krishna River in Devadurga Taluk of Raichur District.
