Project Description:
There are 18 No’s of MI/ZP tanks and 04 groups of series of Check dams in Hospet Taluk of Bellary District. The scheme envisages lifting water from Tungabhadra River near Nimbapura Village of Hospet Taluk of Bellary District and connecting downstream tank network which are also source of water for surrounding villages due to scarcity of drinking water in summer. The ground water is also dwindling during this period.
It is proposed to provide drinking water facility by constructing storage reservoir at four different locations and filling existing MI/ZP tanks in the mining affected villages in and around Papinayakanahalli and other villages in Hospet Taluka, Bellary District.
It is proposed to take up the work of “Survey, Investigation, Design, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Comprehensive scheme for providing drinking water facility and tank filling for mining Affected villages in and around Papinayakanahalli and other villages in Hospet Taluka, Bellary District comprising of Lift System Head Works consisting of construction of Intake canal, Jack well cum pump house, Power supply including terminal bays, substation, 33 KV transmission lines, Rising Main with Pressure distribution system, Gravity Distribution System Construction of 4 No’s of Impounding Reservoir’s near Vadrahalli ,Kakubalu,Gadiganuru Chinnapura villages for Bulk drinking water Supply facility, Filling up and Improvements to existing 22 MI/ZP tanks for drinking and recharging ground water of by lifting water from Tungabhadra river near Venkatapura village including Operation and Maintenance for a period of 5 years after successful completion of work on Turn-Key Basis”.
