Project Description:
Pachakuppam is a small Village in Madhanur Block in Vellore District of Tamil Nadu State, India. It comes under Vadapudupattu Panchayath. It is located 47 KM towards west from District headquarters Vellore. 7 KM from Madhanur. 190 KM from State capital Chennai.
Somalapuram, Kilmurungai, Melvaithinankuppam, Chokkarishikuppam, Thuthipattu are the nearby Villages to Pachakuppam. Pachakuppam is surrounded by Madhanur Block towards East, Gudiyattam Block towards North, Vaniyambadi Block towards west, Anaicut Block towards East.
The railway crossing LC No. 74 is located at Railway Km 172/8-10 in between in Katpadi – Jolerpettai railway route.The railway line runs parallel to NH-48 Melpati- Pachakuppam Road road is under the jurisdiction of Construction and Maintenance Sub Division Katpadi (H) which is under the control of Vellore (H).
A ROB of induvial Span 20 m each is proposed with a deck width of 8.5m and Service Road 3.75m on one side. The vertical clearance of ROB is kept as 6.525 m. The approaches on both side of the Railway portion has to be executed by Tamil Nadu Highways Department (TNHD) as per the common GAD / Alignment concurred by both TNHD and Railways. The Railways portion work shall be done by Railways.
