Project Description:

The proposed command area is under Mundargi Branch Canal is planned to bring under Drip Irrigation System. By changing the method of supplying irrigation water from conventional flow irrigation system to Drip Irrigation system, there is an increase in irrigation efficiency which leads to savings in water. Hence the distribution network is changed from open canal system to piped network.

Mundargi Branch Canal takes water from Delivery Chamber of Second stage lift, it runs for a length of 72.00 km. This canal serves a command of 65456.00 Acres, out of that entire area, the area of 31535 Acre (12767.00ha) is proposed to cover in the Singatalur LIS package-II.

In this proposfield.e water is proposed to deliver from Mundargi Branch Canal (MBC) to each farmer’s field by Pressurised pipe distribution network along with on farm automated Drip Irrigation system in each farmer’s field
